Police dog tracks down suspect in Civic campus-area car break-ins

City police credit a citizen’s 911 call reporting a crime in progress for their collar of a suspect in car break-ins near the Civic campus of the Ottawa Hospital early Monday.
The call came in at about 4 a.m. reporting a man was breaking into vehicles in the area of Old Irving Place, police said in a release Wednesday.
The suspect fled on foot by the time they arrived but a police dog was called in to track him and a suspect was located and arrested.
