Police clear scene outside south-end home after search for armed robbery suspect

Ottawa police patrol officers and a tactical team cleared the scene outside a home Tuesday in the city’s south end where police believed a robbery suspect armed with a gun had retreated.
The operation began with a mid-morning call to police from a Tim Hortons on Heatherington Road.
A police spokesman confirmed an operation was underway after an investigation led officers to a home on Angela Private near the corner of Heatherington.
