Pellerin: In defence of Ottawa's much-needed trees
It was one of the most endearing things about early-morning bike rides along the Pinecrest Creek pathway. Bunnies munching and birds singing. But now all you see at Iris Street and the Transitway is a sad, awful gash where majestic trees used to be.
