Pedestrian struck and killed on Hwy. 401

The OPP report that a man was struck and killed by a passing tractor trailer on Hwy. 401 near Kingston.
OPP officers from the Frontenac detachment responded to the incident just before 4 a.m. on Saturday morning.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither the man’s name or his reason for being on foot along the highway were available.
OPP Technical Collision Investigators are examining the scene.
Highway 401 westbound lanes were detoured Saturday morning at Joyceville Road.
