Pedestrian, 69, struck and killed in southeast Ottawa Sunday

A 69-year-old man died in hospital Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle as he walked on Renaud Road in the Chapel Hill South area.
Police say the 6:29 p.m. crash on Renaud Road is still under investigation. No charges had been laid as of Monday morning. The roadway was temporarily closed between Markinch Road and Mer Bleue roads. Police reported the road had reopened just before midnight Sunday.
