Overcrowded CHEO forced to send sick infants, children to other cities

The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario sent 19 critically ill patients to out-of-town hospitals last month as it resorted to unusual measures to manage overcrowding in its intensive care units. 
For most of January and February, CHEO has operated at or above its capacity.
