Ottawa Senators owner Eugene Melnyk suing partner over 'failed' downtown NHL arena bid

Capital Sports Management — the umbrella group led by Ottawa Senators owner Eugene Melnyk — is suing Trinity Development Group and John Ruddy for $700 million over the “failed joint venture” of developing LeBreton Flats, according to a statement of claim filed Friday.
The suit was filed just one day after the National Capital Commission went public about a dispute between RendezVous LeBreton Group partners Melnyk and Ruddy that threatened the entire project.
