Ottawa Race Weekend courses will change because of Elgin Street reconstruction

Most of the feature events of Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend will change in 2019.
Try as we might, though, the varying alterations can’t be blamed on multiple, extended delays in building Ottawa’s light-rail transit system.
Instead, most of the impact on the May 25-26 races stems from Elgin Street reconstruction.
Most noticeably, the start of the Ottawa 10K will move from Laurier Avenue near Ottawa City Hall to Colonel By Drive on the east side of the Rideau Canal, near Laurier.
