Ottawa public school board wants province to slow down autism changes

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board has written to the province warning that it has “significant concerns” about the timeline for making changes to the Ontario Autism Program and what those changes mean for schools.
In the letter, school board chair Lynn Scott said families are still sorting out what the do when their child’s funding runs out and “we anticipate that a growing number of very high-needs students can be received in our schools full-time between 1 April
