Ottawa pilot dies in North Bay plane crash

A 57-year-old old Ottawa man is dead after the ultralight plane he was flying crashed Monday morning near North Bay.
Ontario Provincial Police in North Bay confirmed the small plane went down and caught fire in a brush area of Rutherglen Township, near Talon Lake, 36 kilometres east of North Bay, shortly before 10 a.m.
