Ottawa man gets house arrest for tax evasion
An Ottawa man who ran a business offering services including home renovations, landscaping, roofing and snow removal has been sentenced to six months of house arrest and a fine of $68,000 for failing to report more than $400,000 in income.
Ryan Langtry, who was sentenced Nov. 28 to a nine-month conditional sentence, will also have to pay the outstanding tax bill of about $135,000 in federal income taxes and sales tax plus interest and penalties, the Canada Revenue Agency said in a news release M
