Ottawa man facing child porn charges under house arrest after bail hearing

An Ottawa man facing child pornography charges and accused of victimizing Nepalese boys was released on bail Wednesday afternoon with numerous conditions, including house arrest.
Paul McCarthy, 62, was arrested last Friday at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport and escorted off a plane destined for Panama City.
McCarthy had previously been stopped by the Canada Border Services Agency in mid-December as he returned to this country following a volunteer mission to an orphanage in Nepal.
