Ottawa city councillor Tim Tierney charged with corrupt election practices by OPP

Ottawa city councillor Tim Tierney has been charged by the OPP’s anti-rackets branch with a violation of the Municipal Elections Act.
Tierney, who represents Beacon Hill-Cyrville ward, was charged with corrupt practices under the act, according to an OPP release.
He’s to appear next Thursday in provincial court.
