OPP rescue man who scootered onto Queensway by accident

An OPP officer offered an escort to safety instead of a ticket to a man who accidentally found himself driving his mobility scooter onto the Queensway at about noon Tuesday.
The man, who didn’t want to identify himself, got confused while heading west on Carling Avenue and found himself on the on-ramp near Carling and Kirkwood avenues, then on the eastbound highway. Embarrassed by his mistake, he was thankful for the officer’s help.
