OPP divers recover body of missing snowmobiler

OPP divers recovered the body of a missing Westport-area snowmobiler Monday.
Scott McPherson, 33, of Sand Lake was last seen Friday evening.
After he was reported missing Saturday afternoon, Rideau Lakes OPP launched a search that mobilized the force’s underwater search and recovery unit, emergency response team, snowmobile enforcement unit and drones and Rideau Lakes firefighters.
The OPP urged people to stay off the ice, warning “no ice is safe ice.”
