Ontario approves funding for Sandy Hill supervised injection site
Ontario has approved funding for a supervised injection site at the Sandy Hill Community Health Centre, the Citizen has learned.
The approval of nearly $1 million in ongoing operating funding comes just days after Isra Levy — Ottawa’s chief medical officer — announced that the city couldn’t wait for the Sandy Hill site and would open an interim site in the ByWard Market within weeks.
