One man dead, two people injured in east end fire

A man was pronounced dead on the scene of a fire in a rowhouse unit on Boake Street in Orléans’ Fallingbrook district Wednesday morning.
Firefighters rescued a man from the building on arrival at about 7 a.m. and began resuscitation efforts.
Paramedics soon arrived and took over but said the man, who was in critical condition, didn’t respond to treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
