On-ramp from Carling to Queensway permanently closes Monday

The eastbound on-ramp to the Queensway from Carling Avenue — just west of the Westgate Shopping Centre — closed for good on Monday.
In a planned widening of Highway 417 between Maitland Avenue and Island Park Drive, the Ministry of Transportation announced the closure of the “low volume” ramp last week.
Frequent commuters in the area took to Facebook to voice their opinions, ranging from indifference to anger.
