Officer charged with refusing sample after off-duty crash

An Ottawa police officer has been charged with refusing to provide a blood sample after a crash in Smiths Falls over the long weekend.
Const. John Dorsch was off duty at the time of the two-vehicle crash at about 1:15 a.m. on August 6 in the town about 70 km southwest of the capital.
Leeds County OPP charged with him under Section 254 of the Criminal Code of Canada.
