New technology sanitizes smart phones in hospitals with UV light
The Montfort Hospital has a microwave-like device in its front lobby that cleans your phone of dangerous bacteria using ultraviolet light.
The device, called CleanSlate UV, was created in order to combat antibiotic resistant bacteria born in hospitals, commonly referred to as superbugs. They vary from minor infections to severe illnesses. Common strains include C. difficile and MRSA.
