Nest in transit, killdeers not chirping

Onlookers waited behind caution tape with bated breath as Bluesfest’s premature festivalgoers were moved, gingerly, from smack-dab in the middle of LeBreton Flats on Tuesday evening to a slightly more suitable location about 30 metres away.
Woodlands Wildlife Sanctuary executive director Monika Melichar took each of the four killdeer eggs from their nest and placed them in a custom-built nest and walked away with her fingers crossed.
