Natsis appeal set for drunk driving causing death conviction

The Ontario Court of Appeal has set aside two days to hear the appeal of Pembroke dentist Christy Natsis who was convicted more than two years ago of impaired and dangerous driving causing death.
Natsis was sentenced in November 2015 to five years in prison for causing the death of Bryan Casey in a March 31, 2011 head-on crash on Highway 17 near Arnprior. Natsis was released on bail a few weeks later pending the legal challenges.
Her first trial took 55 days over three years.
