National Gallery closes for two weeks for maintenance
Art lovers will have to take a two-week break from the National Gallery of Canada starting Monday as the institution gets set for a major maintenance project.
The closure until Jan. 22 is to allow workers to prepare for replacement of the windows and roof in the main entrance and Colonnade sections of the building.
The gallery describes the work as “the next phase of an essential part of the life cycle maintenance of the building.”
