National Arts Centre commemorates the First World War

The National Arts Centre has unveiled plans to commemorate the centenary of the First World War with a series of events in the week leading up to Remembrance Day.The centrepiece of the commemoration is the Nov. 9 performance of Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem, featuring the NAC Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Germany, joined by Russian soprano Albina Shagimuratova, Canadian tenor Isaiah Bell and baritone James Westman.
