Name of man killed in Lowertown stabbing released

Ottawa police announced Sunday they are investigating the death of 43-year-old Ilyas Ibrahim as a homicide after he died on the weekend, more than a week after he was found in Lowertown with multiple stab wounds.
Police also confirmed Sunday that one person was in custody related to the incident. According to police, the victim and suspect had known one another.
Shortly after 4 p.m. on Feb. 8, Ibrahim was found bleeding from upper body wounds outside an Ottawa
