Motorist charged under HTA after cyclist killed near Perth

An Etobicoke man is now charged with careless driving after a crash near Perth that killed a 49-year-old cyclist.Lanark County OPP said Monday that their investigation revealed that Perth resident Christopher Smith, 49, suffered his fatal injuries when he was struck by an eastbound GMC cub van as he cycled east on Highway 7 east of Perth.
