Missing man, 66, killed in tree strike while cutting wood

A missing Bancroft man was discovered dead in what police believe was a wood-cutting mishap soon after he was reported missing Thursday night.
Police report that he was struck by a large tree.
Bancroft OPP officers were called to Glanville Road in Carlow-Mayo Township, about 200 km west of Ottawa, at about 6 p.m.
The force’s emergency response team and a sniffer dog teamed up with friends and family to search for the man and found his body in a wooded area.
