You won’t have to take in the entireties of the two above-named albums to be struck by how well pianist Robi Botos, bassist Mike Downes and drummer Larnell Lewis play together.
It’s apparent within a tune or two on either album that the three Torontonians have a great simpatico, and that they revel in making powerful and polished modern mainstream jazz.
