Man makes second-storey escape from burning house

Three people escaped from a house that caught fire a little after midnight Sunday morning on Tennyson Street, near the south end of Merivale Road.
A man phoned 9-1-1 to say he had escaped the fire by climbing out on the roof of the solarium at the back of the home, but that his parents were still inside.
Ottawa Fire on scene of a 2-Alarm fire at 2 Tennyson Avenue. Crews encountered heavy fire at the rear of a 2-storey residential unit on arrival. All searches have been completed and are negative
