Man in serious condition after Rideau Street shooting

One man was taken to hospital in serious condition after a shooting downtown Friday evening.
Paramedics said they picked up a man who had been shot “multiple times” and took him to hospital in stable condition.
Police said they responded to a call of gunfire in the 100 block of Montreal Road around 8 p.m. An injured man was found, police said, on the 200 block of Rideau Street. The two incidents appeared to be related, police said.
