Man critically injured in Grenon Avenue afternoon shooting

A young man is in critical condition after a shooting Tuesday on Grenon Avenue, near Michele Park and close to Carling Avenue.
Ottawa police received the call around 3:45 p.m. The shooting occurred on the roadway and no nearby businesses or residences were involved, said police on scene.
Several streets near Grenon Avenue and Michèle Drive were closed as a result.
