Man charged with attempted murder after stabbing in ByWard Market

A 49-year-old Ottawa man has been charged with attempted murder after an allegedly stabbing in the ByWard Market early Sunday.
Police said the stabbing took place “at a local Ottawa shelter” near George and Cumberland streets, which is where the Salvation Army Booth Centre is located. 
The victim was taken to hospital, where he was treated for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
