Man charged in weekend shooting in west end

City police have arrested a 24-year-old man and laid charges including forcible confinement in connection with a shooting at a Dumaurier Avenue home Saturday.
They recovered a bullet casing and bullet fragments after being called to the Foster Farm area address by a caller who heard a gunshot at about 4 a.m.
Investigating west end detectives identified a suspect and alerted patrol officers, who found the man in a vehicle Monday afternoon and arrested him without incident, police said.
