Man charged after allegedly pelting security guards with rocks

An Ottawa man has been charged with assaulting two security guards after allegedly pelting them with rocks downtown.
Ottawa police say the incident occurred early on the morning of July 15 as the two security officers patrolled an area on Laurier Avenue near Metcalfe Street. They confronted a man who allegedly threw rocks at them. 
Both guards suffered injuries that required medical attention.
