Man, 18, slain in Vanier stabbing

A teen who had just graduated from high school was fatally stabbed Monday night in Vanier, this newspaper has learned.
Zakaria Iqbal was found without a pulse lying on the ground on Montreal Road near Lajoie Street. Police received multiple 911 calls alerting them to a fight in the area around 9:30 p.m. Initial reports to police were that as many as three men had been stabbed. Once police arrived, they found only Iqbal.
Police have not located any additional victims.
Responders initiated CPR and
