Long-awaited Adam Picard murder trial to begin Tuesday
The long-awaited first-degree murder case against Adam Picard, once freed for unreasonable delays on the eve of what was to be his November 2016 trial, will finally be tested in an Ottawa court this week, nearly six years after he was charged.
Former soldier Picard’s twisting road through the changing landscape of the Canadian legal system began in December 2012 when he was arrested and charged in a joint Ontario provincial and Ottawa city police murder case.
