Congratulations to the court
The Federal Court of Appeal is to be congratulated on squashing the federal government’s plans to proceed with the construction of the Trans Mountain pipeline. In a unanimous vote, the court reached its decision to disallow construction, based on two important issues: Firstly, that the Liberal government failed to adequately consult First Nations. Secondly, the court found that the National Energy Board had failed in its duty to conduct a comprehensive risk ass
