Kingston pair charged in alleged attempt to import banned weapons via mail

Officers with the Canada Border Services Agency, assisted by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, have charged two Kingston residents following an alleged attempt to import prohibited handguns into Canada.
On Oct. 18, border service officers at the Toronto international mail processing centre discovered two 9 mm pistols which were being shipped via Canada Post. The discovery led to a police investigation.
