Karlsson won't be ready for Senators' season opener

The Senators won’t have captain Erik Karlsson for the Thursday night opener against Washington.
He’s still recovering from the foot surgery he had in June and needs more time before he gets medical clearance to play. That’s a lot of minutes out of the lineup but the players aren’t going to let it be an excuse.
