Johnstone: Ontario parties must help trans and gender-diverse people

It’s 2018. Ontario has had human rights legislation for trans and gender-diverse individuals for almost six years. But despite these legal protections, the everyday realities of trans and gender-diverse communities are still rife with violence and discrimination.
It is time – we’re not far from an election – for Ontario’s political parties to stop just talking about inclusion, and start acting on it.
