Johnson: Remembering my grandfather, and all who went through the Great War
On Aug. 27, 1914, Thomas Adrian Higgins travelled from his home in Craighurst, Ont. to Valcartier, Que. for training, having enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force. His enlistment papers showed him to have been 5 feet 6 1/2 inches tall, with light blue eyes and brown hair. The certificate of medical examination declared him fit for service. Read More
