Johnson: Remembering my grandfather, and all who went through the Great War

On Aug. 27, 1914, Thomas Adrian Higgins travelled from his home in Craighurst, Ont. to Valcartier, Que. for training, having enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force.
