Ice closes Cumberland-Masson-Angers ferry
In what operator Traversier Bourbonnais calls a “very rare” event, the ferry between Cumberland, Ontario and Masson-Angers, Quebec closed Sunday morning due to ice on the Ottawa River.
Usually operating around-the-clock and year-round, the service closed at about 8 a.m. Sunday but hopes to reopen by late Sunday afternoon, Elaine Hayes said from its Gatineau headquarters.
