'I have to move now … They could come back'
Hassan Abdul Hussein left his job and home in Beirut in 1988 during Lebanon’s civil war and came to Canada because he no longer felt safe.
On Sunday night, as he lay in a room at the Civic campus of The Ottawa Hospital waiting for doctors to remove the bullet that has been lodged in his left knee for two days, the 55-year-old father of four wondered aloud if he might have to move yet again for the same reason, and believes the city has to step up and address its crime situation.
