'I couldn't take it anymore': Another inmate attempts to kill himself at Ottawa jail

Hours before Theodore Flowers, a thief and drug addict, tried to kill himself at the Ottawa jail last week, he begged for his medication.
Flowers, 48, had been cut off from his medication for opioid addiction and couldn’t handle the withdrawal anymore. He was cut off for suspected medication hoarding and the final time he begged for his drugs he says a guard told him to “hang in there.”
“That was my snapping point,” he recalled.
