Homes evacuated after gas leak in Vanier

Ottawa Fire Services is warning people to avoid the area near Fréchette and Lavergne streets in Vanier as they tackle a gas leak after a four-inch main line was punctured Monday.Fire crews were securing the area as workers from Enbridge, which notified the fire department of the leak shortly after 1 p.m., checked gas levels in surrounding homes.
