Hard lessons: Whopping 540 tickets issued in school zone safety blitz

A week-long traffic blitz outside city schools netted 540 tickets, including some doozies.
There were the three drivers nabbed speeding by more than 50 km/h past school zones.
Or the guy caught doing “151 in the 80 zone on #BlackburnBypass … I’d have taken his licence but he’s been suspended since June!”
Or the 18-wheeler at going 30 km/h over the limit whose driver admitted, “ya I know… I wasn’t paying attention…. I’m tired.”
