Gunshots reported in Carlington area

Ottawa police were investigating gunshots that were fired in the Carlington neighbourhood on Saturday night.
Police reported that they received calls of “five or six” shots fired near Merivale Road and Shillington Avenue just before 6 p.m. No injuries were immediately reported.
The case was being investigated by central district investigations of the Ottawa Police Service.
