Governor General gets new advisor – a public affairs general who specializes in information warfare

Brig.-Gen. Marc Theriault, the head of Canadian Forces Public Affairs, will become a new advisor to Governor General Julie Payette.
It is unclear at this point what role Theriault will play on Payette’s staff.
“We will have more detail about BGen Theriault’s secondment to Rideau Hall at a later date,” Department of National Defence spokeswoman Jessica Lamirande said.
Theriault told his public affairs colleagues that he will be starting his new job with Payette in mid-May,
