Gorman: Hunt Club-Riverside development defies logic, Ottawa Council

Clearly, dollar signs meant more than heritage, imagination and logic in Ottawa Council’s passing, on April 10, of a bylaw amendment authorizing development on the tract of land bordered by the northwest corner of Hunt Club Road and Riverside Drive. Permitted are an auto dealership, a high-rise apartment building, and a retirement home. There is also mention of a park, presumably a concession to what currently exists.
