Cuba’s first independent dance company, Malpaso, formed in 2012, comes to the National Arts Centre for the first time this week, touring with 11 dancers and its three original founders. The versatile company will perform the duet Ocaso by resident choreographer/artistic director Osnel Delgado, along with Ohad Naharin’s Tabula Rasa and commissioned works by two female creators: Indomitable Waltz by Canada’s Aszure Barton and Face The Torrent by New Yorker Sonya Tayeh.
